Ringier Informatik: Change in management
Effective September 1, 2011, there will be a change in Ringier’s IT leadership: Following the successful completion of the division’s integration, Joachim Aschoff will hand over his position to Roland Kühne, Head of Services.
Joachim Aschoff, 47, took over as the new CIO of Ringier Informatik on May 1, 2010, the media company said in a statement Wednesday. He was responsible for managing group-wide IT services as well as all IT activities of Ringier Switzerland. Aschoff reported to the then Head of Corporate Center, Samuel Hügli - after the integration of the division directly to Michael Voss, COO Ringier Switzerland and Germany.
Aschoff played a key role in the integration of IT following the joint venture at Group level with the German publishing house Axel Springer in Eastern Europe, integrating the department at Ringier Switzerland and successively aligning it to the new needs, the statement continues. Among other things, Aschoff was responsible for the group-wide introduction of Google Mail. He also restructured IT as a central internal service provider at Ringier.
Now that this integration has been successfully completed and Joachim Aschoff had basically joined Ringier for a Group IT management function, he has decided to take on a new challenge. The new Head of IT will be 39-year-old Roland Kühne (pictured), Head of Services, who will take on the function in addition to his previous job. Kühne will take over on September 1, 2011 and, according to the press release, will focus IT even more strongly on the needs of Verlag Schweiz in the future.
