Ringier expands Group Executive Board
Ringier’s Group Executive Board will expand by three members effective January 1, 2016: In addition to Chief Technology and Data Officer Xiaoqun Clever, Robin Lingg, CEO of Ringier Africa & Asia, and Alexander Theobald, COO of Ringier Switzerland, will join the Ringier Group Executive Board.

As previously announced, Xiaoqun Clever, 45, will assume her new role as Chief Technology and Data Officer at Ringier on January 1, 2016, and will also become a member of Ringier's Group Executive Board. The Board of Directors also appointed Robin Lingg, 36, CEO Ringier Africa & Asia, and Alexander Theobald, 51, previously Head Operations & Business Development, to the Group Executive Board at the beginning of the year. Alexander Theobald takes on the role of Chief Operating Officer Ringier Switzerland. In addition to Ringier CEO Marc Walder, CFO Annabella Bassler and Thomas Kaiser, CEO Ringier Digital, remain members of the Group Executive Board.
Marc Walder on the expansion: "Today, technology plays a decisive role in the success of a media company, hence the appointment of Xiaoqun Clever. In Switzerland, on the other hand, we see great potential for expansion within our broadly diversified portfolio, and Alexander Theobald will take on this task. And we consider Africa and Asia to be major growth markets for digital business models - Robin Lingg will continue to drive this forward."
