Ringier COO takes over management of Ringier Germany

Michael Voss, Chief Operations Officer at Ringier, will become the new managing director of Ringier Germany. He will take over from Rudolf Spindler on August 20, 2013; Spindler is stepping down for personal reasons.

Effective August 20, 2013, Michael Voss, Chief Operations Officer Ringier, will take over the management of Ringier Publishing and Juno Kunstverlag. Ringier wrote this in a statement on Tuesday. This means that the activities of Ringier Germany will in future be directly attached to the member of the Group Executive Board.

Voss has been COO of Ringier since June 2012. In addition, he is responsible for the strategic business unit Ringier Entertainment and the activities of Ringier Print Adligenswil, Swissprinters, Ringier Germany, Ringier Kunstverlag JRP, and IT & Services from Ringier's Publishing division.

The previous managing director Rudolf Spindler is relinquishing his mandate for personal reasons, the statement said. Spindler began his work at Ringer in May 2011 and had successfully managed the two business units during this time. In particular, Spindler recorded successes with line extensions such as the Monopol art market leaders Berlin, Ruhr and Munich and Cicero Choice, as well as the establishment of Ringier's own advertising sales in Berlin.
