Ringier Axel Springer Switzerland moves into new media center

Ringier Axel Springer Switzerland (RASCH) has relocated to Zurich-Altstetten. After nearly eight months of interior construction, the approximately 460 employees of the German-Swiss magazine and newspaper titles—who were previously spread across various locations in Zurich—can now begin operations at one of Switzerland’s most modern media centers.

In the media park at Flurstrasse 55, all areas come together under one roof for the first time on three floors. The concept of the premises is to showcase the RASCH culture with a lot of openness and light. Modern open-space workstations, lounges and a variety of informal meeting areas are designed to allow employees to give free rein to their creativity and promote interdisciplinary exchange and teamwork. A particular highlight is the deliberate use of color in the rooms. The colored walls are intended to support the working atmosphere, commitment and motivation of the employees. The color concept was developed in collaboration with Markus Jäger, architect and general planner Gutknecht & Jäger, Caroline Dolenc, interior designer Change-in-Architecture, the well-known artist Shirana Shahbazi, and Hansjörg Gerster, Project Manager and Head Operations Ringier Switzerland.

In addition to the "not guilty" restaurant on the first floor, from the end of May there will be an in-house fitness center with a range of courses, which employees of Ringier Axel Springer Schweiz, Ringier and Admeira can use free of charge. On May 15, 2017, the "Chinderstern" daycare center will also celebrate its opening on the first floor of the Media Park. The daycare center is operated by Kidéal and offers freely selectable care modules.

Ralph Büchi, Delegate of the Board of Directors of Ringier Axel Springer Switzerland: "We are very proud to have created one of the most modern media centers in Switzerland with the Media Park. The new, shared location will further promote team building, day-to-day collaboration and thus also the creation of our own corporate culture."

In June, the new headquarters of Ringier Axel Springer Switzerland is opened with a festive Grand Opening together with customers and employees. The editorial offices of Ringier Axel Springer Switzerland in Suisse romande will retain their location in Lausanne.
