The media groups Ringier and Axel Springer, jointly active in Eastern Europe as part of a joint venture, strengthen their portfolio in Hungary and buy the leading job portal Profession.hu.
A corresponding agreement has been concluded with the financial investor Central Group Media Holding, according to a media release on Friday. No details of the purchase price were given. "The acquisition of Profession.hu is an important step in expanding our digital portfolio," Mark Dean, CEO of Ringier Axel Springer Media, was quoted as saying. The closing of the transaction is subject to approval by the relevant antitrust authorities, he added.
