Reza Rafi becomes editor-in-chief of Sonntagsblick

Change at the Blick Group: Reza Rafi, the current deputy editor-in-chief, is taking over as editor-in-chief of Sonntagsblick effective immediately. Gieri Cavelty, the former editor-in-chief, is leaving the company after six years.

Reza Rafi (46) will be the new editor-in-chief of the Sunday View. He succeeds Gieri Cavelty (46), who after six years at the helm of the Sunday title has decided to leave the company to teach history at a high school starting in August. As a columnist, Cavelty will continue to publish for the Sunday View be active.

Reza Rafi began his journalistic career in 2006 as domestic editor at the commuter medium 20 minutes. From 2008 to 2010, the political scientist worked first as head of the People department and then as the Federal Parliament correspondent for the Sunday View. He then moved to the Sonntagszeitung, where he served as head of news from 2014 to 2017. Since 2017, Rafi has been deputy editor-in-chief of the Sunday View.
