Relaunch of Playground Magazine: Ochsner Sport Focuses on Depth
Switzerland's largest sports magazine is now called playground—without capital letters, without the space bar, but with more substance. Ochsner Sport has completely revamped the magazine for its Summer 2026 issue.

Relaunch of playground Magazine: From a Broad Format to Content Precision
With the Summer 2026 issue, Ochsner Sport is undergoing a fundamental transformation: The former Playground Magazine is becoming playground—and is thus not only getting a new name but also a completely revamped concept. The relaunch of playground magazine represents a deliberate shift toward simplicity: fewer pages, fewer topics, but more depth and substance. Since its first print issue in spring 2019, the magazine’s graphic design has evolved, while its editorial content has been adjusted only sporadically—now comes a complete reorientation.
Marco Greco, Head of Marketing at Ochsner Sport, describes the new approach as follows: «The new approach consistently prioritizes quality of content and narrative precision over breadth. The goal is to tell stories from the world of sports in a way that is even more intimate, clearer, and more relevant.»

Two parts, one clear stance
The new concept divides the magazine into two sections that are clearly distinct in terms of content, visuals, and feel. In the current issue, the first section is dedicated to four central stories. Among them is a profile of track and field athlete Audrey Werro, who, according to the press release, is forging her own path with impressive clarity. The first section is complemented by a visual and narrative immersion into the world of cycling, as well as a focus on the interface between the rider and the ground—the moment the shoe touches the ground.
The second section of the magazine is dedicated to the world of Ochsner Sport. The aim is to bring to life the company’s expertise, consulting skills, and range of services, as well as its collaborations with prominent figures and institutions in the Swiss sports community.
playground as a curated platform for Swiss sports
According to its own description, playground sees itself as a curated platform for people, products, and experiences that shape Swiss sports. In the future, each issue will focus on selected themes and explore them from different perspectives. Greco adds: «The focus will be on personal stories from athletes as well as visual and accessible insights into sports, products, and the world of movement.»
According to Ochsner Sport, this reorientation positions *playground* as a distinctive magazine with a sharper focus on content—minimalist in design, yet rich in inspiration and substance.
