Rajan Autze takes over as head of 3sat Switzerland
Rajan Autze, previously program planner and deputy head of 3sat Switzerland, will take over as head of SRF's staff unit on November 1, 2012. He succeeds Barbara Riesen, who has headed 3sat Schweiz ad interim since October 2010 and retired at the end of October 2012.
The 44-year-old Rajan Autze joined "Kulturplatz" in 2004 as an inputter and producer. Before that, he worked as a freelance TV writer for RBB, NDR and Arte, according to a statement. In October 2010, he moved to 3sat Switzerland and took over as deputy of the staff position belonging to the culture department. In this function, he was also responsible for the program planning of 3sat Switzerland.
Rajan Autze on his new job: "3sat is a great station. I'm really looking forward to the task of working with my team to make Switzerland present on 3sat in all its diversity - socially, linguistically, culturally - and to bring it closer to audiences in Germany and Austria in particular."
Nathalie Wappler, Head of Department Culture SRF: "With Rajan Autze, an accomplished cultural journalist takes over the management of 3sat Switzerland. And thanks to his previous role as Deputy Head, we are ensuring continuity for the program. This is a stroke of luck for us, and we look forward to a successful collaboration."
