Radio Pilatus puts Rigi transmitter into operation
Radio Pilatus puts the new transmitters on the Rigi and on Mattgrad near Ennetbürgen into operation on Thursday, June 30.
Among others, the Rigi communities (Weggis, Vitznau, Küssnacht, Immensee, Arth-Goldau), the Habsburg communities (Meggen, Adligenswil and Udligenswil), the Stans area (Stans, Buochs, Beckenried) as well as the canton of Obwalden can thus be better served, according to a statement from the station.
The two new transmitters replace the previous transmitter Hammetschwand on the Bürgenstock, which will cease operation on Thursday at 10.30 a.m. after almost 20 years.
