Radio Pilatus is now also available as TV
Radio Pilatus will usher in a new era of radio on Monday, December 2. Three robotic cameras will broadcast high-resolution video from Studio 1 .
With the new system, Radio Pilatus can also be experienced visually. Listeners get glimpses of the studio and can watch the presenters at work. The live video also offers information about the song currently playing and upcoming live guests, news reports, webcam images from Pilatusland, weather forecasts, traffic reports and much more. This is announced by Radio Pilatus in a statement on Friday.
Studio camera replacement
Radio Pilatus has been offering a live video stream from Studio 1 for years. Although this visual appearance with an old camera was rather boring and static, the live picture from the studio enjoyed great popularity among Radio Pilatus listeners, the statement said. Radio Pilatus is therefore convinced to make a popular feature of the website even more attractive.
Fully automated system
The system decides which camera should be active based on the microphone levels in the studio. Whoever is speaking is in the picture. The live video is distributed via the website of Radio Pilatus. It is offered in three different qualities (360p, 540p and 720p) and can also be received on smartphones and tablets. After the activation of Beatz TV in the summer, Radio Pilatus TV is already Radio Pilatus' second Internet TV project this year.
