Press Council: New Managing Director
At its meeting on September 17, 2013, the Board of Trustees of the Swiss Press Council Foundation elected Ursina Wey as its new executive director and successor to Martin Künzi.
At the beginning of July 2013, long-time Press Council Secretary Martin Künzi was elected governor of the Interlaken-Oberhasli administrative district as of January 1, 2014, according to a statement. At its meeting on September 17, the Board of Trustees of the Swiss Press Council Foundation appointed his successor.
The new Managing Director of the Press Council as of January 1, 2014 is Ursina Wey. After studying law at the Universities of Fribourg and Bern and obtaining the Bernese advocate's license, she worked, among other things, as a research assistant for Bakom and in the legal service of SRG. Ursina Wey currently works for the German Society for International Cooperation as a consultant for democracy promotion in Togo.
