Patrick Hässig becomes presenter at SF

After four and a half years as the host of the morning show «Ufsteller» on Radio 24, Patrick Hässig is now making the move to television. Starting in August 2012, the 33-year-old from Zurich will host the show that replaces «5 gegen 5» on Swiss television.

This new early evening game show "Less is More" will air daily at 6:15 p.m. on SF1, Radio 24 wrote in a statement Wednesday. "After more than four years with the morning game 'Toast Hässig' on Radio 24, I'm very excited to now live out my love of games on Swiss television. The new game show 'Less is More' is a big dream come true for me," Hässig said.

In the second half of 2012, Patrick Hässig will complete his civilian service assignment at Waidspital. After a break of six months, he will return to Radio 24 as a presenter from February 2013.

Score as few points as possible

For once, the new show is not about who scores the most points, but who scores the least. As in "5 vs. 5," 100 people will be polled before the shows. While "5 vs. 5" was about naming the answers given by the most respondents, it's now the other way around on "Less is More," as Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen (SRF) announced on Wednesday.

The three teams of two compete to find out the answers that were given the least often. The team that hits that answer wins the game round and a cash prize, according to the release. The game is not an SF invention. It has been running on BBC 1 for some time, according to the release.
