NZZ defends itself against superprovisional injunction
The NZZ has received a super-provisional injunction prohibiting it from publishing any further information on the data tapes lost by Swisscom. According to its own statements, it intends to contest this order.
In a brief statement on Friday evening, the NZZ writes that it was astonished to learn of the super-provisional injunction with which Swisscom intends to prevent further publication of articles in connection with lost data tapes.
The NZZ made this case public after the data tapes in question were leaked to it (Werbewoche.ch reported). However, the company has always cooperated with Swisscom, it continues. The NZZ considers the super-provisional injunction and the ban to be unfounded and has announced that it will appeal against them. According to the media company, the NZZ's conduct and its reporting were absolutely correct in legal and journalistic terms at all times.
