NZZ: Changes in the publishing organization

The Neue Zürcher Zeitung and NZZ am Sonntag will in future be managed by two senior product managers. Silke Wolf is now responsible for product management in the NZZ reader and advertising market. Larissa Bieler will take on the identical task for NZZ am Sonntag.

Silke Wolf and Larissa Bieler previously worked in the reader market for the Neue Zürcher Zeitung and NZZ am Sonntag respectively and reported to Markus Will, according to a press release issued on Thursday. From February 1, they will report directly to Marius Hagger, Head of NZZ Publishing. The third product area will be Magazines, as already communicated, headed by Andreas Häuptli from February.

Markus Will will continue to be responsible for the reader market and support the product managers in this area. In this new matrix organization, the advertising market will be managed by Markus Ehrle, who will take over from Markus Will after his departure from NZZ AG at the end of March, as also already knownwill be replaced by Bernt Maulaz.

Silke Wolf worked for Axel-Springer-Verlag in Berlin for seven years before joining NZZ AG. Among other things, she was Head of Marketing and Sales for four years
at the Berliner Morgenpost. Larissa Bieler worked as a journalist for Südostschweiz and for four years at "NZZ am Sonnta". In 2008, she took over responsibility in the reader market for the NZZ's Sunday title.

Petra Vetter, Marius Hagger's assistant, will join Larissa Bieler's team during the first quarter of this year. The assistant position will be newly filled. Sabrina Müller will continue to work with Silke Wolf, while "NZZ am Sonntag" will continue to be able to count on the services of Tatjana Pegam.
