NZZ Nutzermarkt with new management structure: Berchtold leaves, Gysler, Ender and Bauspiess take over
Johannes Berchtold, currently Head of the User Market at NZZ, will leave the company at the end of 2024. The new leadership structure will be led by Andreas Gysler, Luisa Ender, and Ina Bauspiess, who will join the company in December 2024; together, they will share responsibility for the user market.
After more than five years at NZZ, Johannes Berchtold is leaving the role of Head of User Market. Having joined the company in October 2019, Berchtold has been instrumental in shaping the brand's digital transformation and strengthening NZZ's position in the German-speaking market. "His contribution to the strategic positioning and his commitment to the growth strategy in Germany have been invaluable," said Johannes Boege, Chief Commercial Officer of NZZ. Berchtold will continue to support NZZ in strategic projects until his departure.
With Berchtold's departure, NZZ is focusing on a new management structure in the user market. Andreas Gysler, who has been Head of Customer Revenue since October 2022, will remain responsible for sales of all products and the marketing infrastructure. Luisa Ender, previously Team Leader Customer Revenue at NZZ Germany, will intensify the commercial focus in the German growth market as Business Director Germany. The management team will be rounded off by Ina Bauspiess, who will take over as Head of Partnerships & Live Events and Branding & Creation from December 2024. She brings extensive experience from the Swiss media industry and most recently worked at the UCI Cycling World Championships Zurich.
"With Gysler, Ender and Bauspiess, we have found the perfect combination of experience and fresh impetus for the new management structure," Boege continued. The new structure should optimally position NZZ for the future and further strengthen its position in the user market.
