No-Billag initiators launch their own crowdfunding campaign
After stopping their campaign on the crowdfunding platform Wemakeit, the No Billag initiators have set up their own platform. With this, they hope to still reach the donation goal of 100,000 francs. Over 22,000 francs were raised in the first 48 hours.

The setback has turned out to be a great opportunity, writes the initiative committee in a statement on Thursday. The action was met with great incomprehension among the population and triggered a wave of solidarity. In the first 48 hours, donations of over 22,000 francs were received.
On Monday, it had become known that the crowdfunding platform wemakeit had stopped a campaign for the No Billag initiative. The operators consider "the extreme thrust" of the initiative, which calls for the abolition of fees for radio and TV, to be "dangerous in terms of state policy" (Werbewoche.ch reported).
The guidelines published on the Internet stipulate that Wemakeit's editorial team can reject or stop and delete projects that "do not meet the specifications or are unsuitable. The operators explain the fact that the initiators were nevertheless allowed to collect with the short submission deadline. Unfortunately, the campaign could not be checked in time. Their payments will be fully refunded to the supporters. The No Billag initiative will be voted on March 4. (SDA)
