Reorganization at the Meteomedia Group

The European operations of the private weather service provider, currently consolidated within Meteomedia AG in Gais and Meteomedia GmbH in Bochum, will in the future be managed by the newly established Meteomedia (Europa) AG, headquartered in Appenzell, Switzerland.

In addition to Jörg Kachelmann (controlling majority), private investors from Southeast Asia around attorney Martin Kurer, Manila/Zurich, member of the Board of Directors of Meteomedia AG, hold a significant stake in this company. In the course of this reorganization, a "mutually satisfactory solution was found for all shareholders of Jörg Kachelmann Produktions AG, the previous holding company of the Meteomedia Group", according to the press release. This also made it possible to settle all legal disputes among the previous shareholders.

Jörg Kachelmann and the new investors then founded Meteomedia International Ltd. Hong Kong, which combines the activities of the Meteomedia Group in Asia. This company holds a significant stake in Meteomedia Philippines Corp., which is responsible for the "1000 Weather Stations for the Philippines" project together with the Aboititz Foundation. According to the press release, ten employees are already working for Meteomedia International in Manila.
