New studio for Schaffhausen television

Schaffhausen Television has moved and will begin broadcasting from a new studio on Monday, June 6. With a modern look and updated technology, the station aims to improve the quality of its programming for viewers.

Schaffhauser Fernsehen, which belongs to the media company Meier + Cie, has been on air for over 15 years, according to a press release. For the last ten years, the regional broadcaster has been based on Bachstrasse in Schaffhausen. It has now moved to Vordergasse in the middle of Schaffhausen's old town to the Meier + Cie property, which is also home to Schaffhauser Nachrichten.

The move to the new location would create important synergy effects for the broadcaster, which has to finance itself entirely without license fee money. These would only affect the infrastructure area; the editorial team of Schaffhausen Television would continue to work independently.

The move was accompanied by a renewal of the entire broadcasting technology at Schaffhauser Fernsehen. The entire production of the broadcasts is now completely digitalized and in 16:9 format. In addition to improving the sound and picture quality, a modern, multifunctional studio and a revised appearance will ensure a contemporary appearance. The entire new concept was largely developed and implemented by the SHf team itself.
