New name "Zeitungshaus": BaZ Holding changes structure and management organization

In August 2017, BaZ Holding acquired Zehnder Wochenzeitungsverlag, which publishes 25 free weekly newspapers. Through its subsidiaries National Zeitung and Basler Nachrichten, BaZ Holding is also the publisher of the Basler Zeitung. It is now adapting its structure and management organization to the new circumstances.

zeitungshaus

BaZ Holding AG will be renamed Zeitungshaus. The Board of Directors of Zeitungshaus AG will remain unchanged, i.e. it will consist of Rolf Bollmann (Chairman), Christoph Blocher and Markus Somm. Zeitungshaus AG will be based in Baar/ZG, the previous domicile of Zuger Woche AG, which was acquired in August 2017.

In the first quarter of 2018, the 25 free weekly newspapers acquired from Zehnder Verlag will also be merged into Swissregio Media AG. The six legal entities acquired will be merged and the existing employment relationships will be continued. The individual newspapers will continue to be published under their current titles and in their current form. swissregio media ag, a subsidiary of Zeitungshaus AG, will be based in Baar/ZG.

Martin Baltisser will join the Board of Directors of Swissregio Media AG and Basler Zeitung AG as a representative of Robinvest AG and serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors alongside the current Board members Rolf Bollmann and Markus Somm.

From 2018, the new legal structure will therefore consist of Zeitungshaus AG and its two subsidiaries Basler Zeitung AG and Swissregio Media ag.
