New HD channels in June
Like Swisscom, UPC Cablecom will also begin broadcasting the HD channels of RTL, RTL 2, Vox, and Super RTL in June. In return, Swiss Sports Television (SSF) will be removed from the analog network.
With the new HD channels, the number of UPC Cablecom channels in high-definition quality will also increase to 48, as detailed in a press release. The launch will take place on June 19, 2013, and Swisscom TV will already include these HD channels in its program on June 10. Swisscom now also offers RTL Nitro, bringing the total to 49 HD channels.
