Netzwoche gets new editor-in-chief

The Swiss ICT magazine Netzwoche has a new editor-in-chief in Rodolphe Koller. Andreas Heer will also join the editorial team in the middle of the year.

Rodolphe Koller (pictured) will take over as editor-in-chief on May 1, 2013, from René Mosbacher, who is leaving Netzmedien at his own request to pursue education and his own projects, according to a statement. Rodolphe Koller will remain editor-in-chief of ICTjournal, the French-speaking counterpart of Netzwoche. Andreas Heer will also join the Netzwoche editorial team as deputy editor-in-chief at the beginning of June. Andreas Heer was previously web editor at Winterthurer Landboten; he has many years of experience as an IT and web journalist.

This reorganization gives Netzwoche and ICTjournal joint editorial management across the Röstigraben. Netzwoche and ICTjournal are the only Swiss IT trade publications that cover both the German and French-speaking markets with their editions. The task of the new editor-in-chief is to intensify cooperation between the print and online editorial teams and to promote the exchange and coordinated creation of content across the language border.

Rodolphe Koller has been editor-in-chief of ICTjournal since its founding in 2008. Under his leadership, ICTjournal has become the leading IT trade magazine in French-speaking Switzerland. Before joining Netzmedien, Koller worked as a communications and marketing manager for various Swiss and international IT companies.

Andreas Heer has worked as an IT editor for various publications since 1994, including Tages-Anzeiger and Computerworld. Since 2010, he has been working as web editor at the Winterthur daily newspaper Der Landbote, where he is responsible for web content and the social media presence, among other things. Since 2003, he has also been a regular course instructor in the field of information technology.

René Mosbacher led the Netzwoche editorial team for the past two years. He successfully improved structures and processes and initiated important new projects.
