Nau Media digitizes field hockey magazine Slapshot

Slapshot is going digital. With its own mobile app and website, the hockey magazine aims to expand its reach and attract even more readers.

There is now a free specialist platform for fans of Swiss field hockey. "We are delighted that we were able to win Nau.ch as our preferred partner for the launch of the digital versions. We are also convinced that we can generate additional readership with the new digital channels," says Mitch Bongard, Publishing Director of Slapshot.

The new digital presence of Slapshot will be part of the digital world of Nau.ch. The visual design of the app is based on the layout of Nau Media, taking into account the branding of both companies. The URL for all ice hockey fans is now Slapshot.nau.ch. The new Slapshot-app will be available to download free of charge from the app stores at the end of September.

"The digital Slapshot ideally complements our growing portfolio of over ten special interest platforms. The cooperation is a win-win situation for both sides and a perfect example of how a print publisher and our digital media company can work together," says Simon Klopfenstein, COO of Nau Media.

The print product will continue to exist. Digitalization merely expands the ways in which fans can access the content of Slapshot can access it, according to Nau Media.
