After "Deville": SRF with new comedy flagships

Following the end of "Deville," SRF is realigning its Sunday evening slot on SRF 1 starting in the fall: In addition to the continuation of the established series "Comedy Showcase," new shows will be launched on Sunday evening programming in September 2023 and February 2024 respectively - the satirical "Die Sendung des Monats" and "Late Night Switzerland." Both shows will focus on current topics with a wink.

In the "Show of the Month," Gabriel Vetter, Swiss-German comedian and satirist, will guide viewers through the events of the past few weeks every month starting on Sunday, September 24, 2023. Whether world politics or national social issues - the show puts the spotlight on current events from a Swiss perspective. He is supported by Fabienne Hadorn and Sven Ivanić.

After the inaugural broadcast, "Die Sendung des Monats" will be broadcast three more times in 2023, each time at 9:40 p.m. on SRF 1: on October 29, December 3 and December 26. From 2024, the show will always be shown at the end of the month, on Sundays on SRF 1.

Late Night with a difference

In "Late Night Switzerland," host Stefan Büsser will interpret the classic late night in his own way from February 11, 2024 - a Helvetic answer to the big traditional format complete with stage, band and couch. Stefan Büsser addresses the topics that the Swiss experience every day - in talk with current guests from the fields of entertainment, sports and politics, in press reviews and directly on location as part of outside reports. Michael Schweizer supports him in this. "Late Night Switzerland" airs three times a month on SRF 1 at 9:40 p.m. The nine-part first season runs from February to the end of April 2024, with further episodes then being broadcast from fall 2024.

Starting on Sunday, September 3, 2023, SRF will show new episodes of "Comedy Showcase. The second episode, on September 10, 2023, will be the live program of "Comedymänner," one of the most listened-to podcasts in Switzerland.

And the podcast by the trio Stefan Büsser, Aron Herz and Michael Schweizer themselves is also returning to SRF. Starting on Thursday, September 14, 2023, a new episode will appear weekly. The video podcast will also be broadcast every Thursday evening on SRF zwei.
