Matthias Graf leaves Ringier - Edi Estermann takes over as successor
Matthias Graf, Head of Corporate Communications and a member of Ringier’s extended Group Executive Board, is leaving the company. Edi Estermann will become Ringier’s new Head of Corporate Communications.
Graf joined Ringier on September 1, 2010, from Google, where he was Head of Product Communications Emea and Head of Communications Switzerland. He was responsible for the media company's entire corporate communications. Under his leadership, Ringier positioned itself as an innovative and international media and entertainment company and modernized its corporate image, Ringier said in a statement Tuesday.
Edi Estermann will be Ringier's new Head of Corporate Communications. He has been Head of Communications Switzerland and Germany and Deputy Group Spokesman since July 2010. Estermann was previously responsible for project management for the integrated newsroom of the Blick Group and joined Ringier as a journalist in 1998.
Graf will leave Ringier due to the reorganization at the top of the Group, according to the Ringier release. At the same time, Ringier's communications department will also be downsized.
