Marc Lehmann becomes journalistic director of Freiburger Nachrichten AG
Journalist Marc Lehmann will take over overall journalistic responsibility at Freiburger Nachrichten AG from November. After two years in the communications industry, Lehmann is returning to his traditional field.
From November 1, 2024, 54-year-old Marc Lehmann will take over the main editorial responsibility for the daily newspaper "Freiburger Nachrichten" and the weekly newspapers "Der Murtenbieter" and "Anzeiger von Kerzers". In addition, as part of the planned collaboration with Radio Fribourg, he will also be responsible for driving forward the development of the new joint digital platform. The existing editorial management team will be retained and, following the departure of Christian Holzer, will consist of Sarah Polson-Neuhaus (Head of Digital), Imelda Ruffieux (Head of Topics) and Fahrettin Calislar (Head of Production).
Discussion leader of the "Tagesgespräch"
From 2015 to 2022, Lehmann was one of the voices of Swiss public radio as head of the "Tagesgespräch" program on SRF radio. Prior to this, Lehmann lived and worked in Prague for seven years and reported for SRF radio and television as a correspondent from Eastern Europe. At the beginning of his journalistic career, Marc Lehmann worked as a journalist for "Der Bund", editor-in-chief of TeleBärn and broadcasting director of Radio ExtraBern. He is currently studying for a master's degree in futurology at the Free University of Berlin. For the last two years, Marc Lehmann has been Head of Communications & IT at the think tank Avenir Suisse, where he was also a member of the Executive Board.
