Leonhard Fischer new on the Board of Directors of Weltwoche Verlags AG

German manager and financial entrepreneur Leonhard Fischer has joined the Board of Directors of Weltwoche Verlags AG. The 60-year-old has served on the executive boards of Dresdner Bank, Allianz, and Credit Suisse under Oswald Grübel, among others.

The economist has enormous experience in Swiss and international business, according to a statement from the publishing house. As CEO, Leonhard Fischer led Winterthur Insurance. He has served on several boards of directors, including in the publishing sector, among others at Axel Springer and Glencore. Other entrepreneurial activities in the financial industry characterize his career.

At Weltwoche Verlags AG, Fischer succeeds Rolf Bollmann, who is retiring for reasons of age but will remain available to the company as a consultant. The publishing house's Board of Directors is now made up of Chairman Roger Köppel, Beat Gygi and Leonhard Fischer.
