La Télé: High loss, director takes his hat off

La Télé, a local television station in French-speaking Switzerland, reported an operating loss of 1.5 million francs for the past year. General Manager Christophe Rasch is stepping down effective immediately.

New financing is to be arranged by the end of the month. The operating loss of CHF 1.5 million was reduced to CHF 69,522 as the majority of shareholders wrote off the loans granted when the company was founded, as La Télé announced on Tuesday. New financing of 1.5 million francs is to be raised by the end of May, according to the press release. In this "difficult context", the Board of Directors took note of the departure of CEO Rasch. Rasch wants to change his career direction. The Board of Directors also expressed its confidence in the management and staff. The station has been reporting from the cantons of Fribourg and Vaud since June 2009. (SDA)
