"Kinowetter" counters "G&G" out with star offensive

Following the end of "G&G", "kinowetter" is increasing its focus on exclusive interviews and portraits of national and international stars. The format continues to grow with a new multi-channel strategy and correspondents in major cities around the world.

Swiss Television SRF is discontinuing "G&G - Faces and Stories", but the interest in celebrities and entertainment remains. "kinowetter" closes the gap and focuses more on exclusive conversations with well-known personalities from film and television. "We regret the discontinuation of G&G, but we are convinced that the interest in entertainment with well-known names and exciting stories remains unbroken," says producer and presenter Philipp Portmann.

The program pursues a broad-based multi-channel strategy: in addition to the TV broadcast on wetter TV, interviews and portraits appear on the web platform, two YouTube channels, in the print magazine "film guide" and in the new podcast "stars & movies". The international network of correspondents is also being expanded with permanent locations in Los Angeles, New York, London, Munich and Berlin.

In the coming weeks, "kinowetter" will be welcoming guests such as Claude Barras, Daniel Craig, Elle Fanning, Karoline Herfurth, Robert Pattinson and Gary Oldman. The program airs every Thursday at 20:10 on wetter TV and can be accessed online at any time.
