Kein & Aber: Kurer succeeds Schawinski
Peter Kurer has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Zurich-based book and audiobook publisher Kein & Aber since the end of October. The former UBS chairman succeeds Roger Schawinski.
He resigned from his position in May and sold his shares in the publishing house (Werbewoche.ch reported). Not to Kurer, but to publisher Peter Haag, who has managed the publishing house since Schawinski's resignation. This was reported in the current edition of Schweiz am Sonntag. However, Kurer himself has made a "modest" financial contribution. The former Chairman of the UBS Board of Directors justifies his involvement with private, not economic reasons - his interest in literature. There are no plans for further investments in the sector.
The newspaper raises the question of whether Kurer will also have to act as a reorganizer. Kein & Aber had attracted attention in the past with red figures and capital increases. Kurer does not comment on this. On the Board of Directors, he meets Viktor Giacobbo and Daniel Dunkel, Editor-in-Chief of Schweizer Familie, among others. (hae/SaS)
