Caricature of the year will be the drawing "Putin at war
The prize for the Swiss Cartoon of the Year 2022 goes to "Petarde" cartoonist Christoph Biedermann for the drawing "Putin at War". The choice this year was made by the audience.
The Solothurn cartoonist Christoph Biedermann was already in second place in 2015, 2019 and 2020 and now wins the award for the first time, which is traditionally presented as part of the annual review exhibition "Gezeichnet" at the Museum of Communication in Bern. The winner was again (unlike the previous year because of Corona) determined by ballot through an audience vote. Since 2021, the prize has been organized and presented by the new Swiss satire format Petarde.
In second place, the visitors voted for the article "Röstis Mandate" by cartoonist Felix Schaad, published in the Tages-Anzeiger on November 7. Third place went to Jaques Vallotton with his article "Manifestations contre le voile en Iran," published in 24 Heures on September 23, 2022.
The exhibition "Drawn" was launched in 2008 and guest in this edition from December 16, 2022 to the end of February 2023 at the Museum of Communication Bern.
