Joyn and Sunrise enter into partnership for expanded streaming offer
The Joyn Switzerland streaming platform is now preinstalled on all Sunrise TV boxes. This gives Joyn the potential to reach several hundred thousand new users. At the same time, Sunrise is expanding its entertainment offerings with a comprehensive, free streaming app.

Integration directly in the main menu
With the integration on the Sunrise TV boxes, Joyn is available directly in the main menu under "Apps" and can be used without additional installation. Joyn can also be started conveniently by voice command and is fully integrated into the intelligent search function of Sunrise TV. This means that Joyn content automatically appears in the search results and personal recommendations. The integration ensures a particularly convenient and seamless user experience and makes it even easier for customers to discover new favorite content.
This targeted distribution gives Joyn access to a broad audience, while Sunrise is adding a comprehensive and free streaming app to its own entertainment offering. Customers thus benefit from a further expanded entertainment experience.
"The best entertainment and all in one place - we are underpinning this claim with the integration of the Joyn app on our TV box. We are once again one step ahead and are further expanding our entertainment offering with Joyn. With Joyn, our customers can enjoy popular and diverse TV content," says Christoph Richartz, Chief Consumer Officer - Main Brand at Sunrise.
"By partnering with Sunrise, we are making Joyn easily accessible to even more households in Switzerland, directly via their TV box," says Andrea Haemmerli, Managing Director Seven. One Entertainment Group Switzerland, responsible for Joyn Switzerland. "We are delighted to present our Joyn Originals such as The Power, The Race and Jerks as well as numerous previews of our highlight shows to a wider audience, complemented by over 60,000 hours of additional TV content."
With the pre-installation on Sunrise TV boxes, Joyn is taking another important step in its growth strategy, which aims to make the free streaming service with a focus on local content, reality, fiction, comedy and shows accessible to a broad audience.
