Handelszeitung launches new startup series "Upbeat
The Handelszeitung is expanding its coverage of the Swiss startup scene. Starting Thursday, under the title «Upbeat,» the Handelszeitung and the business portal HZ will feature weekly profiles of Swiss startups—in print, audio, and video.

The content of "Upbeat" includes stories about business ideas, market opportunities, financing and product innovations. The aim is to give readers a complete insight into the founding stories and the working and business models of fifty Swiss start-ups. "These companies are characterized by a strong innovative spirit and great growth potential. But we also want to focus on the personality of the founders," says Stefan Barmettler, editor-in-chief of Handelszeitung. The challenges and learnings of the start-ups are to be shared with the readership.
Two to three-minute videos will present the people and models behind the start-ups, and there will also be 30-minute podcasts featuring conversations with the founders. Articles in print will be supplemented online with key figures, among other things.
The new startup series is published in cooperation with Credit Suisse. The Ringier Axel Springer Switzerland project manager is Christoph Büeler, Head of Video Ringier Axel Springer Switzerland. Stefan Mair, Head of Management Handelszeitungis responsible on the editorial side.
