Google Maps now with weather report
After real-time traffic jam information and the option to view maps offline, Google Maps has another new feature. There is a separate layer for local weather forecasts.
Now both the temperature and the weather situation can be viewed from many points around the world. Google cooperates according to Golem.de with the WEather.com service and with the US Naval Research Lab, which provides information on cloud cover. The user can also see the cloud cover in the surrounding area.
Users can select the Weather function via a button at the top right to display the current weather. By clicking on the image next to a location, the user receives more detailed data, such as humidity and a four-day forecast.
