Goldbach Media expands management

Goldbach Media (Switzerland) appoints Fredy Grau as COO and Deputy CEO and announces the addition of Gabriel Blume and Guido Trevisan to the Executive Board as of July 1, 2014. At the same time, market and media researcher Mirko Marr is hired as the new Head of Research.

Following the announcement of the departure from the company as of June 30, 2014 of COO and deputy CEO Marcel Bosshard, who as majority shareholder will manage the Zurich Kaufleuten in the future, his duties have been reallocated.

Fredy Grau, a long-standing member of the Executive Board of Goldbach Media, takes over as COO and deputy to CEO Alexander Duphorn. Guido Trevisan will take over as the new Marketing Director for Marketing and Communications at Goldbach Media, in addition to his existing responsibilities in Strategy, Research and Compliance.

Following the appointment of Raoul Gerber as Director Switzerland and Austria to the extended management of the Goldbach Group, his entire area of responsibility as Sales Director TV & Digital out of Home goes to Gabriel Blume, who is thus also a new member of the Goldbach Media management.

The Executive Board of Goldbach Media (Switzerland) is therefore composed as follows as of July 1, 2014: Alexander Duphorn, CEO, Fredy Grau, COO & Deputy CEO, Tobias Fehrlin, Strategic Sales Director, Guido Trevisan, Marketing Director and Gabriel Blume, Sales Director TV & Digital out of Home.

Also as of July 1, 2014, communications and media scientist Mirko Marr joins Goldbach Media as Head of Research. The research specialist with a focus on media distribution, media usage, and media and advertising impact has held leading positions at Mediapulse, IAB Switzerland, Publicitas, and most recently at the Institute for Applied Communication Research (IaKom) in Zurich, among others. He succeeds Siri Fischer, who decided to leave the company after ten years of successfully leading the Godbach Media Research team.

Goldbach Media expands management

Since January 1, 2014, the existing five-member top management of Goldbach Media has been strengthened by an expanded Executive Board. As part of this reorganization, the Sales unit is also being restructured.

The newly formed extended management of Goldbach Media includes:

Gabriel Blume, Sales Director TV & DOOH. Blume, who holds a degree in business administration, has held various management positions at Goldbach Media for the past seven years, including Mediacom Zurich and IP Deutschland.

Thomas Müller, Head of Strategic Planning, has been with Goldbach Media for three years in various functions. Before that, he was Head of Electronic Media at Zenith Optimedia.

Lorenzo Leutenegger, Sales Director TV Product Group 2. The marketing planner with a Swiss federal diploma has been working as a sales specialist at Goldbach Media for five years.

Jacqueline Sasse, Sales Director TV Product Group 1, took on management responsibility at Goldbach Media, first in the Radio division and then in TV, and before that at TF1 Group - Eurosport, Messe München and America's Cup Management.

Guido Trevisan, Strategic Advisor of the Management Board, the federally certified marketing manager has held management responsibility for nine years at Goldbach Media as well as Wilmaa Digital World in the area of marketing.

New structure of the sales organization

With the expanded management, a new sales structure also comes into effect. The TV divisional and regional stations will be split between the existing two TV sales teams:

TV Product Group 1 (3+, 4+, M6, RTL, RTL9, RTL II, RTL NITRO, SuperRTL, VOX, W9), headed by Jacqueline Sasse, now includes Cartoon Network as well as the placement of Regional TV, Rouge TV and TVM3.

TV Product Group 2 (Kabel eins, Pro Sieben, SAT.1, Sixx) is supplemented by Comedy Central, DMAX, MTV, N24, Nickelodeon, Teleclub and VIVA CH and is now headed by Lorenzo Leutenegger.
 

Goldbach Media expands management

As of May 1, 2013, Tobias Fehrlin joins the Executive Board of Goldbach Media (Switzerland). The number of Executive Board members increases to five.

Tobias Fehrlin, who has worked in the media industry since 1998, has TV and online experience. He started his career at Goldbach Group ten years ago as a cross-media consultant at IP Productions. After co-founding and building up Active Mobile Media, he moved to Goldbach Media (Switzerland) in the TV division, where he ultimately held the position of Deputy Head of TV Sales.

After a one-year sabbatical, he set up the newly founded Strategic Sales department, which Tobias Fehrlin has headed since April 2009. Under his leadership, the seven-strong Strategic Sales team is responsible for internal and external operational controlling and reporting, strategic sales, budget and forecast planning, contract and controlling management, optimization and monitoring of cash management, and station forecasting in the area of sales planning.

Tobias Fehrlin, Business Economist FH, is completing his MBA FH in Entrepreneurship this year.
