Gianni Giorgetti takes over the management of 20 Minuti
Gianni Giorgetti, Managing Director of Ticinonline, will simultaneously take over the management of 20 Minuti Ticino on January 1, 2013. Ticinonline operates the news portal Tio.ch.
Rocco Salvioni, the former Sales Manager and Managing Director of 20 Minuti, is moving to the Board of Directors of 20 Minuti Ticino as well as Ticinonline. He will also become CEO of Regiopress, the publisher of the daily newspaper La Regione Ticino, on January 1, 2013.
Since summer 2011, commuter newspaper 20 Minuti - the newest member of the 20 Minuten media network - and Tio.ch have already been exchanging content. Joint management will unify regional sales for Tio.ch and 20 Minuti and create synergies, according to a 20 Minuten release Friday. In September 2012, 20 Minuten acquired 25.8 percent of Ticinonline from Regiopress, which also continues to hold 25.8 percent of Ticinonline. The commuter newspaper 20 Minuti is published by 20 Minuti Ticino, which is owned equally by Giacomo Salvioni and 20 Minuten.
