Trade union federation to oppose No Billag initiative
The Swiss Federation of Trade Unions (SGB) is opposing the No Billag initiative, which calls for the abolition of fees for radio and television. The vote will take place on March 4, 2018.
The commitment against the initiative decided about 90 delegates of the SGB on Friday in Bern with a unanimously adopted resolution, as the SGB announced. The initiative abolishes the public service in the media, the communiqué said. This is detrimental to democracy and cohesion in Switzerland. (SDA)
