"Generation Gap": SRF brings generations together
On Saturday, March 10, 2018, the new video talk format "Generation Gap" from the Young Target Groups segment was launched on SRF Virus. The format attempts to bridge the gap between old and young and find out whether everything really was better in the past.

In "Generation Gap," Swiss seniors and young adults meet and discuss the values and opinions of their respective times. What status does marriage still have today? What was it like to live as a Swiss woman in the fifties and sixties? Why is Generation Y made up of "Special Snowflakes"?
Through the mutual confrontation and sometimes heated discussions, the young as well as older protagonists gain different perspectives on certain topics and gain a new understanding for each other.
"As a young person, you often only know grandma and grandpa. Otherwise, these two generations don't really meet in everyday life - there is often even a fear of contact," says Sarah Christen, SRF project manager and producer of "Generation Gap." "We are pleased to be able to use the format to address the sometimes prevailing Gap to close."
The format, which was realized by the Young Target Groups department, started on Saturday with the theme "Celebrating. What does 70-year-old Franz think of today's club opening hours and whether there used to be a "Walk Of Shame"? The answers can be found in "Generation Gap.
Every Saturday, starting at 5 p.m., there is a new episode on the SRF Virus Facebook page and on YouTube.
