Finanz und Wirtschaft: Mark Dittli becomes Editor-in-Chief
Peter Schuppli has decided to step down as editor-in-chief of Finanz und Wirtschaft magazine at the end of 2011. After his retirement, Schuppli will continue to work as an author for the investor magazine. His successor is Mark Dittli.
Schuppli has worked for Finanz und Wirtschaft since 1976 and has headed the editorial team since 2006. Publisher Pietro Supino has appointed Mark Dittli as his successor, according to a press release issued on Wednesday. The former head of the foreign editorial team joined Finanz und Wirtschaft as domestic editor in 2000. The 36-year-old then spent five years as a foreign correspondent responsible for economic and financial reporting from the United States of America. Mark Dittli studied business administration at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur and journalism at New York University in New York.
While Peter Schuppli will continue as editor-in-chief until the end of 2011, Mark Dittli, as designated editor-in-chief, will work with Martin Coninx, Managing Director of Finanz und Wirtschaft, and a project team over the next few months to implement a concept for the further development of Finanz und Wirtschaft. This will take into account the ongoing internationalization of the financial markets and the increasing importance of the online platform.
