Television film awards for Terpoorten-Maurer and Loosli
Barbara Terpoorten-Maurer and Jonathan Loosli are being honored with Swiss television film awards for their leading roles in the series «Der Bestatter» and the film «Dinu,» respectively. The awards will be presented during the Solothurn Film Festival.
Barbara Terpoorten receives the award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her portrayal of Inspector Anna-Maria Giovanoli in the current SRF television series "Der Bestatter". Born in Visp VS in 1975, the actress attended the Zurich Acting Academy before joining the 400asa group of artists from 2000 to 2008. Before her leading role in "The Undertaker", she appeared in various cinema films, including "Lenz" by Thomas Imbach in 2004. The second season of "Der Bestatter" is currently broadcast on Tuesdays at 8.05 pm on SRF 1.

Jonathan Loosli is awarded Best Leading Actor for his role in the SRF Swiss film "Dinu" by Simon Aeby. Born in Bern in 1979, he attended the Berlin University of the Arts. In addition to numerous theater engagements, he regularly takes on roles in cinema and television films; for example, he was seen in "Eine wen iig, dr Dällebach Kari" or in the SRG SSR docu-fiction series "Die Schweizer".

Urs Fitze, Head of Fiction at SRF, commented on the two awards: "We are very pleased that Barbara Terpoorten and Jonathan Loosli, two actors who have not yet been seen on television so often, are being honored. 'Dinu' and 'Der Bestatter' have been very well received by television audiences. So it's all the better that a jury of experts is now also recognizing these productions."
A jury made up of representatives of Swissperform and the Solothurn Film Festival awards the Swiss Television Film Prizes sponsored by Swissperform. In 2014, these are Heinz Dill, Charlotte Heinimann and Seraina Rohrer. The awards will be presented on Sunday, January 26, at 5 pm in the Reithalle in Solothurn. The award-winning television films and series can be seen in the program of the 49th Solothurn Film Festival. These will take place from January 23 to 30, 2014.
