Facebook integrates Uber into its Messenger
In the USA, Facebook users will also be able to book rides with Uber via Facebook Messenger in future. In an effort to expand its messaging service into a platform for all situations in life, Facebook wants to integrate the ride service provider into the app.
In future, some users in the USA will be able to book a ride with Uber while talking to a friend without having to leave the application. Other countries and transportation services are to follow, as Facebook announced on Wednesday.
The world's largest online network has big plans for Messenger, which currently has over 700 million users. They can also use it to send money to each other. Another idea is to establish Messenger as a channel for communication between companies and their customers. (SDA)
