Ex-footballer Kay Voser starts an internship at Tages-Anzeiger
The Tages-Anzeiger editorial team is getting a high-profile addition: Former soccer player Kay Voser wants to become a sports journalist and is completing an internship at the Tamedia publication.

"I've decided to stop playing top-level football and will start an internship at the Tages-Anzeiger next week - I'm really looking forward to it," said the Aargauer, who was most recently in the USA with the Charlotte Independence club, on Sunday in the Teleclub Zoom program "Heimspiel - Der Fussball-Talk". "Writing has always been a passion for me. I first went to have a sniff and I liked it," says the 32-year-old.
Voser's career included a stint with FC Basel, with whom he was Swiss champion and played in the Champions League. He played 13 games for Premier League club FC Fulham, and played and was part of the U21 national team in Switzerland.
In terms of earnings, the neo-journalist will probably have to accept cutbacks after his financially lucrative football career: According to Youngjournalites.ch an intern at the Tages-Anzeiger receives 2000 francs per month. (hae)
