Eva Berger becomes Editor-in-Chief of "Solothurner Zeitung", "Oltner Tagblatt" and "Grenchner Tagblatt"

Effective November 1, 2024, Eva Berger will assume the role of editor-in-chief of CH Media’s Solothurn-based newspapers.

The Board of Directors of CH Media has appointed Eva Berger as Editor-in-Chief of "Solothurner Zeitung", "Oltner Tagblatt" and "Grenchner Tagblatt". The 45-year-old will take up her post on November 1, 2024. Eva Berger is currently Co-Head of the Cantonal Department at the "Aargauer Zeitung", where she has worked for around six years. Eva Berger is from Solothurn and is well established in the city and region. "With her journalistic track record, her networking in the region and her management experience, Eva Berger has the ideal qualifications," says Patrik Müller, Editor-in-Chief of CH Media.

Before joining CH Media, Berger worked for the "Bund", the then "Solothurner Tagblatt" of Espace Media and the "Bieler Tagblatt", where she was head of department and a member of the editorial team. "I am delighted to be taking on this responsible role in Solothurn," says Eva Berger. She succeeds the two previous co-editors-in-chief Lucien Fluri and Sven Altermatt, who will be leaving CH Media at the end of October to join "Blick".
