Eurospider acquires majority stake in Publicom
Publicom and Eurospider have entered into a strategic partnership. As part of the deal, Publicom founder René Grossenbacher is selling his majority stake in Eurospider.

With regard to the development of innovative services in the areas of media analysis and communications controlling, Publicom and Eurospider Information Technology are entering into a close and long-term strategic partnership, according to a statement on Thursday. Eurospider, a provider of relevance retrieval systems, and Publicom, a company specializing in research and consulting in the media sector, are thus combining their core competencies. The collaboration is intended to enable the development of new, high-performance tools for the analysis of media content and communication effects.
Publicom's media know-how and Eurospider's many years of experience in the field of automated content analysis and computational linguistics complement each other ideally, the two companies are certain.
The partnership is reinforced by a reorganization of the shareholder structure at Publicom. Eurospider takes over the majority stake from René Grossenbacher, who founded Publicom over 30 years ago. René Grossenbacher remains CEO and Chairman of the Board of Publicom. The two companies will continue to operate independently in their current business areas - compliance and knowledge management (Eurospider), and media policy, media products and journalistic quality management (Publicom).
