Erdmannpeisker designs a new magazine for contemporary photography
With Flare, Photoforum Pasquart has developed a new magazine for contemporary photography that is consistently communicated online and offline.
In the magazine, photographers as well as writers on current photography have their say. While the online magazine is in a constant state of flux and a multi-layered discourse can develop via a special program, the offline presentation means a freeze in the continuous work of the artists.
Erdmannpeisker uses this for a clear focus on the durable and haptic. The separation between word and image in the magazine was also reproduced in the paper in order to create independent spaces and provide orientation. For the title page, only the names of the artists were deliberately chosen without images so as not to create any preference. The general theme of the publication is shown through a subtle graphic intervention.
