"The Bachelorette" dominates young women's TV evening more than ever before
The seventh episode of the current "Bachelorette" season again attracted a strikingly large number of people in front of the screens. The 3+ show seems to be particularly popular with young women.

No less than 22.6 percent of the so-called advertising-relevant target group (15 to 49 years) was mobilized by the seventh "Bachelorette" episode on Monday. During the broadcast period, 3+ once again secured more market shares than SRF1 and SRF2 combined.

But the ratings were even more impressive in 3+'s favorite target group: Of all the 15- to 24-year-old women who turned on the TV at this time on Monday evening, no less than 67.7 percent chose the couples show from faraway Thailand. The high market share can presumably be explained by the fact that a large part of this target group would not have switched on the TV at all without "The Bachelorette" - the programming competition from the other stations seems correspondingly small, since the show does not have to compete on Monday with formats like "Germany's Next Top Model" (which are also very popular in this target group).

Telebasel presenter Adela Smajic has now reduced the original 22 candidates to a compact four men (one or the other also left voluntarily). In the eighth episode, young viewers can look forward to "intimate moments with personal trainer Cem, an action-packed outing with Safak and David, a romantic river trip with Davide and an unexpected twist just before the night of roses," according to the press release. And 3+ presumably again to remarkably high ratings. (hae)
