The Nebelspalter Audience Award for Cartoon of the Year goes to Alex (Alexandre Ballaman) for his cartoon «L’affaire du mime de l’aigle bicéphale au Mondial,‘ which appeared in June 2018 in the Fribourg daily newspaper La Liberté.

Over 200 caricatures by 48 Swiss press cartoonists were available for visitors to choose from at the annual review exhibition "Gezeichnet 2018" at the Museum of Communication in Bern.

The winner received 3.4 percent of the votes cast, followed by 3.3 percent for the runner-up and 3.0 percent for third place. Past winners include Patrick Chappatte, Felix Schaad, Silvan Wegmann (Swen) and Marco Ratschiller (Karma).
