Coop newspaper appears in a new look
From Tuesday, the Coopzeitung will be published in a new magazine format. It wants to convince more through concrete utility value and play an important role in the everyday life of the readers, especially also with the target group "young families".
Appealing, modern, surprising - that's how the new Coop newspaper wants to present itself. The first thing that stands out is that the newspaper is now stapled and more compact, making it even more versatile. On the front page, people appear who embody the topic of the cover story. The individual sections are separated by color, which should make reading more pleasant and clear. Readers also benefit from advice, everyday information, shopping tips and recipe suggestions. "Being close to our customers has always been a major concern for us. Through the Coopzeitung, we can enter into a dialog with our customers week after week and inform them about news from the Coop world," says Joos Sutter, Chairman of the Executive Board.
Appeal to young families
With its revised customer magazine, Coop wants to appeal more to young families. "We want to attract even more readers in this segment in particular," says Editor-in-Chief Christian Degen. For this reason, family topics will be given greater weight in the future and placed more prominently in the front section of the newspaper. Great importance continues to be attached to the topic of food. The "Eating & Drinking" section has been given even more importance with a slightly different look and a kind of "booklet-within-a-booklet" with its own cover picture. With 3.6 million readers each week, Coopzeitung, Coopération and Cooperazione are the most widely read newspapers in Switzerland. They will continue to be printed in Switzerland in the future.
