Data protection considered
Roland Kühne (CEO a.i. and COO CH Media) and Andreas Bossecker (Chief Technology Innovation Officer NZZ) have joined the Board of Directors of OneLog. The Jonit venture is intended to make it easier for the participating media companies to continuously develop and improve their offerings and to align them even more closely to the needs of the user community. For a seamless and cross-device user experience - as it is also known from the big tech platforms - it is necessary that users are recognized by means of a login. OneLog was designed in close coordination with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner as well as the Data Protection Officers of the participating houses along Swiss data protection guidelines. In addition, and where applicable, the data protection laws of the European Union are also taken into account. There is no exchange of data among the participating media companies.
The previous OneLog VP Marc Walder (CEO Ringier) and OneLog Vice VP Pietro Supino (Chairman of the Board of Directors TX Group) have resigned from the board. The two initiators of the Swiss Digital Alliance have been campaigning for a joint single sign-on solution for the Swiss media industry for years. Their common goal is for users to be logged in to the respective media titles and thus verified. Numerous digital offerings with an outstanding user-friendliness that is appreciated by users - such as Netflix, Instagram, or Spotify - have registration as an access requirement. This user-friendliness is based predominantly on the login.
