CH Media puts Switzerland's most modern newspaper press into operation
The media group CH Media has put Switzerland's most modern newspaper printing plant into operation in its printing hall in Aarau.
Since the summer of 2019, CH Media has expanded its printing hall in Aarau in order to install a latest-generation newspaper printing press from Koenig & Bauer on the newly acquired space. Now, the most modern newspaper printing system in Switzerland has been successfully handed over to the company.
Thanks to the new press, which runs in addition to the existing equipment, CH Media now prints up to 140,000 copies per hour in Aarau. Together with the production output of the newspaper printing plant in Winkeln (SG), this corresponds to a monthly print volume of around 36 million copies.
Commitment to newspaper printing
Parallel to the expansion in Aarau, CH Media has modernized its newspaper printing plant in Winkeln. "This is a clear commitment to newspaper printing. We want to be the leader here and offer our customers innovative solutions tailored to their individual needs," says Michael Fingerhuth, Managing Director of CH Media Print, in a statement on Tuesday.
