Cem vs. Giusi instead of England vs. Tunisia: Women preferred to watch "The Bachelorette
Zum Abschluss der «Bachelorette»-Staffel lockte 3+ nochmals die Zuschauer vor den Fernseher. Die Fussball-WM machte sich bei den Marktanteilen aber durchaus bemerkbar.

Traditionally, after the romantic finale, the candidates of the "Bachelorette" season in Switzerland meet for the obligatory debriefing. Open conflicts are resolved as best as possible, and a final "asshole!" is thrown at the other person. Good for 3+: for the fact that, according to many people, the shows are scripted from A to Z and are supposed to be a single drama, some candidates seem to have hated each other quite authentically at the end.

The question that, according to the voiceover, kept the whole of Switzerland on tenterhooks for a week was also clarified in passing: Adela and Cem are actually a couple and head over heels in love. A mediocre surprise, because after 3+ made it look like everything was over in the trailer, it was somehow clear that nothing was over at all.
Since filming, the two have led a life in hiding, spending their time doing inconspicuous activities such as parachuting or picnicking in open fields - always accompanied by a camera crew.
For once, however, 3+ did not have Monday evening to itself. With the soccer World Cup, another viewer magnet was fighting for market share at the same time. With consequences: For the first time, the private channel had to cede market share leadership to SRF2. 42.4 percent of viewers watched England-Tunisia, 16.9 percent Adela-Cem.

At least with one target group, 3+ did not let King Football spoil the show at the end of the season: Young women (aged 15 to 24) remained loyal to the program and ensured unbroken female dominance on Monday evenings with a market share of 53.5 percent.

Viewers also seem to have enjoyed the latest 3+ in-house production. So it's hardly surprising that the next "Bachelorette" season is already being planned. The channel is currently looking for new candidates who are ready to find their dream girl on the TV show - or at least a few new Instagram followers. So if you've always wanted to travel to Thailand (for free) and spend most of your free time in the gym: Apply. (hae)
